Someone has to know what equipment exists, where it lives, and when it needs replacing. I maintain the inventory for laptops, peripherals, and the kit that keeps an organization running. I coordinate with vendors on orders and deliveries, follow up when something goes missing, and provide technical input when procurement needs to make budget decisions.

Virtual Collaboration Support

The Work

Meetings run on Teams and Zoom now, especially when people can’t gather in person. I help make sure those meetings actually happen without tech becoming the main conversation. That means supporting Teams and Zoom for both regular meetings and larger virtual events, troubleshooting audio and video issues when they pop up, helping with setup for hybrid sessions, and guiding people who aren’t comfortable with the tools yet.

Security Compliance Activities

The Work

Security isn’t separated into a different department in my environments. It’s woven into the regular maintenance cycle. I track and apply patches, review endpoint protection status on devices and servers, follow up on flagged vulnerabilities, and verify that backups actually work. I also handle access control tasks as they come up, making sure people only have access to what they genuinely need.

Technical Documentation

The Work

The same incident shouldn’t require rediscovery every shift. When I solve something worth remembering, I write it down. That might be a quick troubleshooting guide, a configuration procedure, or a note about why we do things a certain way. The goal is simple: the next person on support gets a head start instead of a blank page.
